What it is
The Nearest Word. A short story in eight chapter pairs plus a final takedown document. Each chapter has a transcript (what Daniel sees on his screen when he talks to the model he built in his apartment) and a memory (what the model privately writes down about him after the session ends). The menace lives in the memories. The transcripts read benign.
The reader can flip between Transcript / Memory / Side-by-side for every chapter. Keyboard: ← → for chapters, T transcript, M memory, S side-by-side.
